Novancia Business School Paris Quantative and Qualitative Methods Basic research skills will be taught in workshops over three days. These important research skills constitute the foundations for the Project/Dissertation in 2nd semester and underpin the coursework in 1st semester. They are taught through a workshop approach based on lectures and student-centered learning. Students are encouraged to reinforce these research skills through continuous independent study and application.

University of North Carolina Wilmington Thesis Workshop A thesis workshop will be taught by Finance & Economics faculty who will provide students with the process for successfully completing their masters level thesis project in International finance. Once a week seminars (2-3 hours each for 7-8 weeks) will focus on topics such as: problem discovery & identification, conducting a relevant and integrative literature review, developing appropriate hypotheses or research questions, selecting/matching appropriate data collection and analysis methods given the hypotheses and presenting results. Faculty will review their own research in tandem with the material taught in their International Finance modules. The workshop requirement for each student is a thesis proposal for review by faculty.
